MK City to Focus on South Midlands Campaign
MK City has chosen to focus on SMKA Division 1 for the 2010/11 season. The club has decided to withdraw from the Oxfordshire League to concentrate on the expanding SMKA League.
The sub clubs of Colossus, Rogues, Roos, MKX and Wallabies will be competing in SMKA2.
The clubs are all looking for new players and there is an incentive of one person winning £250 at the Christmas party.

Boot Camp with Balls
Get fit this summer at fun and energetic 'Boot Camp with Balls' every Sunday from 10.30am - 11.45am at Tattenhoe Pavilion. This is recession busting fitness at only £4 a session or £20 for all six weeks (and only £3 a session for korfballers).
Everyone is welcome. Throw, catch, move and have a laugh.
Play Korfball and Win £250
Korfball is great fun. We get fit, we have fun and now there is a little added bonus of the chance to win some extra spending money just before Christmas. Make 10 training sessions and you could win £250.
Rogues Beat Roos!
On Wednesday, Roos invited Rogues to come and play them in a match. After a last-minute change of venue and some confused Rogues struggling to get inside, we took to the court.
I don't know the order of events, but it was a very good quality game with a fast-moving ball and plenty of focussed player movement. I haven't seen a Rogues team play that well before, and we'd have been a match for a great many teams on that form.
Matt opened his career account with an incredible goal from the half-way line with no collect, and Ed rounded out the match at 7-4 to Rogues with a lovely running-in shot side-fed to him by Katie when his defender over-committed at the front.
Thanks to the refs, who were new to it, and to all of the players that I did not give game time to: we will make sure that a smaller squad is taken to the next friendly, and that you are in it!
Rogues Go Outdoors
The sun is out, the evenings are getting later and, crucially, it's exam season at Walton High...
The upshot of this is that we now train outdoors. Still at Walton High, still on a Tuesday, but now down on the field and we can start at 7:30pm. If you can't make this earlier time, you are welcome to arrive any time up until 8:15pm, but you'll obviously miss some stuff! We have the pitch until 9:30pm, but we might finish more like 9:15pm if it gets too dark...
We have a really nice pitch marked out on the field- all the lines painted on beautifully with the penalty areas and everything. It's quite hard to contain my joy about it.
So come along and play some korf outside on a pleasant Tuesday evening, and then head across the road to the pub with us for a bit.
